The Greenpeace Fashion Manifesto is a global movement of fashionistas, activists, designers and bloggers united by a belief that beautiful fashion shouldn’t cause toxic pollution.
Several top clothing brands manufacture their products in a way that damages the water sources. Toxic chemicals, used in the manufacturing process, are leaching out into the rivers and poisoning the people that use this water for their livelihood.
Greenpeace is therefore taking this issue to all of the top global fashion brands to ask them to protect one of our most precious resources – our water. They are asking them to work with their suppliers to eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals in the making of their products.
